OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE entered the Bulgarian market in 1997 and has gradually become the leader on the market of stationery and office products. The company has built and presently run a chain of 150 stores; it owns the largest warehouse and the largest trade center for office products on the Balkan Peninsula.
Panda Cooperation owns and runs the chain of stores OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE.
In 1996 the cooperation concluded a franchising contract with the famous and world-wide known company “OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE INTERNATIONAL” Inc., Delaware, USA for the “know how”, management and using the trade mark OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORÅ. According to this contract the rights on the trade mark OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE and the right to build and run stores that are part of the international chain OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE on the territory of Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro belong exclusively to Panda Cooperation.
In the stores of OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE, working under the motto “All your office needs under one roof” you can find and buy stationery, office equipment and supplies, office furniture, mobiles and accessories for them, a variety of different books (including juridical), brief-cases and other business accessories, cleaning and washing products, etc.
The variety, which is offered in the stores, is still unusual for the Bulgarian market. The stores and warehouses of OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE operate with and have in stock more than 9000 (nine thousand) products of Bulgarian and world famous producers.
Each store from the chain OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE has its own Service Centre, which offers services such as copying, laminating, bookbinding, making stamps, design and print of business cards, forms, advertising materials, etc.
On June 5th 2003 Office 1 Superstore celebrated its 5th birthday with grand opening of the largest Trade Center for office products on the Balkans. The trade center was opened by Mr Mark Baccash, President and CEO of the American company Office 1 Superstore International, together with PhD Ognyan Gerdjikov, Chairman of the Parliament of Republic of Bulgaria.

In November 2003 Panda Cooperation – Office 1 Superstore Bulgaria received a certificate for implementing the international system for managing the quality ISO 9001/2000. The auditors from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance made themselves certain of the developed and applied procedures for guaranteeing the quality. The customers received one more internationally recognized warrant for the quality of the products and services offered by OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE.
In the end of 2001, thanks to the developed network of OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE stores all over the country, Panda Cooperation - OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE Bulgaria became one of the main trade representatives of “COSMO BULGARIA MOBILE” Plc. - GloBul for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria for selling the telecommunication products and services offered by the GSM operator. Panda Cooperation - OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE Bulgaria started to develop a new branch of its business activity: selling mobile phones and accessories for them. For this purpose, it negotiates about concluding contracts with the worldwide known companies: “MOTOROLA”, “ERICSSON”, “SIEMENS” and others, directly or through their main representatives for the Republic of Bulgaria.

In June 2003 OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE Bulgaria (Panda Cooperation) received the prestigious prize RETAILER OF THE YEAR, established by the most authoritative specialised for business and office products “Office Product International” Magazine. The jury, which consists of 11 chief executive officers of multinational companies – leaders in manufacturing and selling office products and equipment, had to choose the winner between over 100 candidates in this category.
The criteria according to which the candidates were selected and appraised include management, financial results, sales growth and European standards for customer service. Mr Raicho Raichev, CEO of OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE Bulgaria (Panda Cooperation) received the prize in Hague.

OFFICE 1 SUPERSTORE plans to create 600 openings, and will gradually become a key foreign investor there. In September 2003 the chain opened the first two stores in Belgrade.
